Why Your Support Matters

APD provides practical support that helps people navigate everyday barriers with greater dignity, access, and independence. This includes guidance through complex systems, care at home, access to mobility support, and more inclusive pathways into work and community life.

Support is not abstract here. It is practical, local, and grounded in real needs. When someone needs help applying for a grant, recovering at home, accessing a wheelchair, or finding the right next step after a major setback, timely support matters.

Your contribution helps APD continue that work in ways that are responsive, community-rooted, and useful in real life.

What your support helps fund

Your support helps strengthen practical services such as social work support for individuals and families navigating grants, documents, assistive devices, school placement, counselling, and advocacy.

It helps fund home-based care for people who need hands-on support with daily living, hygiene, recovery, and rehabilitation at home.

It helps keep wheelchair rental and mobility support available when access cannot wait.

It helps strengthen recruitment and inclusion support that connects job seekers with opportunities and supports more inclusive workplaces.

It also helps sustain community education and awareness that reduces barriers and widens understanding around disability, access, and inclusion.
